It's not what you can buy in this lifetime, it's what you can afford.

Maybe she's saving up for the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. She'll get more money on CL or eBay than if she were to sell it to a dealer.

Not for $31,500 you won't for 2011. You can get a 2012 and 2013 for that price. Gonna be really hard to move that at that price.:(

. I agree 100000000000%, the car is worth $23K tops.

Especially with something like this super low mileage 2012 GT Automatic available for 28k, and brand new 2012 base model manuals going for about the same!!

i wonder if she offered DG to buy the car first cus they can probably use it as a show piece of their products at shows and stuff. probably she got/getting another stang, she had the 2010 and then traded that for this one and both cars had some good mods done.

Wow... That's a steal. Less than what I paid for mine too. It looks like it has cloth seats though, base model. I believe her“s is a premium with shaker 1000

You cannot compare a 2012-13 base at to a 2011 or even a 2010 Premium fully loaded. Mine for example is a 2010 GT premium that the dealer is going to give me 29,000 for because it has 12k miles, full leather with matching trim, $2400 navagation system, rims, spoiler, side and window louvers, hood scoop, and all the extras that go with it. The extras cost a lot of money. Its not just about the year, its what comes with it.

What comes with it is only worth 30% you pay for the extras. Secondly, a car is only worth what someone else will pay for the car. Not to beat on anyone, but I would not give more than 25,000 for a 2010 - 2012; that's all they are worth, unless you have a highly modified engine and suspension.

I understand your point and thats your preference. Not everyone wants a modified engine and suspension. You are a racer so that is what you want. Others want all the toys and extras that come in the cab. So your right, its only worth what someone else will pay. 2010 v6 conv are selling for 23k used at dealers and people buy them. Not everyone can get financed for a new car. In addition not everyone can afford a 40k car. So they buy one that was 40k+ new, for 30k used, and are happy.

the dealer wants to give you 29k? damn thats a steal and most ive heard of since most ive seen 2010 premiums going for is 27-29k with all the doodas, less depending on more miles and soon too with the 2013 coming out. that means the dealer would have to turn around and sell the car into the 30k's to make a profit. at that price point someone can have a 2011 and 2012 gt premium..yes a premium with all the latest doodas including the coyote motor which would make it more than comparable imo. also im with mustangcwo, u cant add 2400+ to the value of your car no matter what it is just because thats what they cost originally. things depreciate considerably. look at cars on s197forums and some of those custom/loaded cars would have anyone cry

I can go to a dealership an buy a 2012 GT Premium for $30,000. Heck a 2013 GT Premium is $32K.
