Alright everyone, so on Wednesday I got the MAC cut & clamp Pro Chamber from American Muscle, for my birthday. Needless to say I had really been looking forward to getting this part! It's the first part of my exhaust set up I'm doing for the car. The next part will be the Cervini's side exhaust (coming in late August early September). Here's where it gets interesting.... Obviously I don't have the proper tools to cut the H-pipe and install this bad boy. So I took it to a local performance shop. The install was easy and straight forward. Now all the reviews I've heard on the MAC pro chamber say that it add's a nice deep old school sound to the car.... Well, once I started the car, I actually had to check to see if I had really started the car... It's about 3x quieter than it was with the stock H-pipe!!!!:( The entire drive home I was trying to see if there was any kind of change in loudness, but I honestly couldn't hear anything! When I got home I let Lia listen to it and she said that it now sounded like a Toyota Corolla.... I have no idea why it's sounds so quiet. Could it be the stock mufflers making it quiet? I did some research yesterday, and some say it's not very loud... So now i'm lost in sauce, trying to figure out if I should ditch the pro chamber and get an after market H or X-pipe. I would really like to hear your guys' suggestions on what I should do. Anyone have an opinion on why it might be so quiet??

Well, I took it out yesterday and played around with it. I'm thinking that whatever sound the p/c is producing, is getting muffled out by the stock axlebacks... I can feel a little smoother throttle response towards the end of my shift, but that's about it. I don't mind that the cats are still on, (just to stay emissions legal) but now I'm going to have to speed up on getting the rest of the exhaust set up. I can't drive around like this for too long, it's embarrassing! I'll just have to put up with hearing the annoying Honda Civics reving up next to me... Until their too far behind me to hear... Or even more annoying is one of the mid 90's Acura Integras... Talk about slow and ugly!

That sukcs dude, I hate it when your so excited for something and it doesn't work out. But tell you the truth my off road x pipe was the best thing I ever did! I know its not emissions legal but it's a bolt on part that takes an hourish to change for when you have to smog. Good luck tho getting it back to loud, I would've cried if that happened to me lol

Thanks Jesse, I just about did! lol I'm going to get the side exhaust here soon. I can't take much more of the way it sounds.
