<div>While we all would love to drool over 2000hp twin turbo monsters all day, eventually reality sets in. The do it ‘yourselfer’ would have a hard time building something like that at home, furthermore driving it every day as a multi-use vehicle. We can’t forget about the grassroots guys who make all forms of racing what it is today. That brings us to a modified 2000 Mustang GT, fittingly dubbed, ‘Steeda GT,’ with the newest wild offerings from <a href="http://www.steeda.com/" target="_blank">Steeda</a> like <a href="http://www.stangtv.com/forum/steeda-q650r-mustang-takes-home-1st-6152.html" target="_blank">the new Q650R</a>, it’s easy to forget where they got started, and this car is a perfect example. <br />

While the first glimpse may fool you into believing this car is one of the rare Cobra-R Mustangs, it is not. Although many of the appearance parts, such as the front bumper and rims for this car were sourced from the Cobra-R. Showing how much of a true streetcar this is, it even towed its own trailer of spare parts and necessary items for the race weekend. <br />
<br />
Starting off with the 4.6L motor, there is really nothing extravagant, with a 70mm throttle body, complete custom exhaust, as well as a custom <a href="http://www.diablosport.com/" target="_blank">Predator</a> 93 octane tune. This bumps up the power level to 256hp and 296 ft lbs of torque through a set of 3.73 gears in the rear-end. As with any road race car, the suspension setup is crucial to good lap times, and that is where most of this cars modification is. Items such as <a href="http://www.koni-na.com/" target="_blank">Koni</a> shocks, Steeda springs, Steeda sway bars, sub-frame connectors and a strut tower brace make this car handle extremely well. <br />
