This new TSB came out on Dec. 2nd 2009. I think I have this grunt / creak / squeak because when I turn into my driveway approach apron from the street, my car makes this sound. I plan on making a appointment to have it looked at. The TSB says it's about a 3 hour job to replace the old front ball joints with better and bigger ball joints and bushings.

So if you have a 2005-2010 Mustang 4.0L/4.6L, 2007-2010 Mustang Shelby GT500 vehicles built on or before 8/3/2009 it may exhibit a grunt/creak/squeak/chirp noise from the lower control arm hydro bushing. The grunt/creak noise may occur over large vertical bumps like speed bumps and pot holes. The squeak/chirp noise may occur over bumps rough roads, and driveway approaches.

This TSB 09-24-16 could be the solution to the problem. Print off the attached PDF file and read it. Take it to your dealer and have them check you car out.

I have a 2008 GT (17,000 miles) and have heard a creaking type of sound coming from the front suspension. As far as the dealer taking care of this, would I just go in there and make a reference to the TSB?

Wonder if they will do this if you have lowered the car? I have had an issue before for suspension stuff.

Thanks for the heads up E.

I am taking in my Mustang tomorrow to have the dealer look at this. It will be intresting to see what they end up doing. I will go in there with a copy of the TSB. If anyone has any advice on what I should say or should not say, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Wondering where I am!?!?
Remember, a TSB is not a Recall, you have to pay for parts and labor if the vehicle isn't under Warranty.

On that note, if something was found wrong or needed to be replaced, would the TSB be covered by the new car warranty or exteneded service warranty? My vehicle has approximately 17,000 miles on it.

Yes it should. Talk to the Dealer before authorizing any work or call Ford, they will help you out

A TSB is nothing more than a cop out by Ford, they are saying something is wrong but if you didn't get the Warranty you are paying for it.

Ok, I understand. I appreciate the advice on the TSB. I will let you all know tomorrow what happens in case anyone else is planning on bringing in their vehicle to the Ford dealer.

Ok, so I took my Mustang into Mossy Ford this morning. No abnormal wear was found in relation to the TSB. The main thing I was concerned about was having some abnormal wear in the affected area on a vehicle with a little over 17,000 miles. I was in and out of there fairly quickly.
