<div>The classic story of finding a salvaged classic and restoring the vehicle to prime condition isn't new or unheard of. However, it isn't often that someone purchases a car in need of restoration, restores it, has it burn down in a fire, and then restores it again to an even better conditioned classic. Prior to the fire, Rowley's plan for the car was to do a rolling restoration to the classic '68 GT. While the surface on this vehicle looked great, there were aged-induced undertones that didn't quite live up to what the car should have been. Ten months into purchasing and slowly restoring the car, the unspeakable happened. <br />
<br />
After the fire, Rowley decided to rent a double garage space that belonged to a friend's neighbor, and started the task of restomodding the classic GT on September 15, 2008. Given that the car was charred and written off in the fire, there was no real excuse not to start restoring the car's every detail. Documentation of the restoration begins with the bare metal. What a story!<br />
