For those who haven’t seen a Ford Racing Catalog in a while, the BOSS block has splayed 4-bolt main on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th main caps with 2-bolts on the 1st and 5th caps. It also features finished lifter bores, revised oiling and cooling passageways and siamese bores with drilled coolant crossover holes. While it is not designed to accept factory 302/351W heads, it can use factory roller lifter guides and retainers. <br />
<br />
To fill the 8.2 deck height block is over $1,400 worth of internals. This includes an Eagle 4340 forged chromoly 6-bolt crank, and Eagle 4130 forged steel I-beam rods. Both designed to accept all the power this engine can crank out. On the other ends of the rods are Mahle forged aluminum pistons. Buy Ford Racing also includes the ring set to go with those as well. <br />
