<div>Restomod Mustangs aren’t exactly a rarity these days, but there are still plenty of cars that stand out from the crowd. Whether it is the cost, engine setup, or loving adoration - there are still ways for an old Mustang to stand out like a new car. One such Mustang is the GT690 W Anaconda. <br />

The <a href="http://www.twinarrowsmustangs.com/index.html" target="_blank">Anaconda</a> is not “new” per say, but only 21 of these snakes have been built. One reason is that they cost in excess of $200,000; certainly not pocket change for a 40 year old car. But with legendary car designers Gene Winfield and Leonard Compton, you get one hell of a Mustang. The entire car, based on either ’67 or ’68 Mustang fastbacks, is done over from top-to-bottom, starting with the functional air scoops on the hood. They both intake cool air, and extract heat, allowing the 32-valve 4.6 liter supercharged motor to stay cooler and breathe easier.<br />

The engine is completely forged with aluminum Probe pistons, rods, and forged steel crank. This version of the engine makes 690 horsepower; the “Python” edition features a 5.4 liter motor making just south of 800 ponies. Backing these motors are a 6-speed transmission with a Centerforce 11” clutch. 3.50 gears in the 9” rear end provide a nice balance between performance and driavability, though other gears are optional. <br />

On the interior, Corbeau seats replace Ford stockers. A 200 MPH speedometer and 10,000 RPM tachometer are likely more than you’ll ever use, but they sure look cool. A 4-point roll bar, Kenwood sound system, and cupholders round out the interior, though there are many other options available. Worth $200,000? I think for a Mustang like this, you could hardly do better.</div>
