ARP had their new Ultra-Torque Fastener Lubricant on display at PRI to compliment the hundreds of new fasteners in their booth. High performance fastener assembly lube allows engine builders to torque fasteners to their required preload on the first pull. According to ARP, the fastener lubricant remains consistent through all engine build steps, from race-prep machining through final engine assembly.<br />

For new fastener applications, ARP had new part numbers and applications for GM Performance Parts LSX engine, Ford’s 4.6 and 5.4-Liter Modular motors and several Sport Compact engines. ARP fasteners come in a variety of materials depending on application and torque requirements. ARP uses 8740 chromemoly or a stainless material that is stronger than a standard grade 8 bolt. ARP’s stainless fasteners are tested to 180,000 psi strength.<br />

One ARP engine display that drew a lot of attention was an GM LSX engine converted to Arias Hemispherical heads. ARP worked with Arias on all the fasteners on the unique engine build. Sitting right behind the Hemi-headed LSX was a Richard Childress Racing built NASCAR R09 small block, proof that ARP can handle any race engine fastener application.<br />
