Hey Gang,

Finally finished my brakes today.

Baer DecelaRotors all around.

I wanted to install EBC Redstuff Ceramics all around too but I didn't have the brake piston tool (too tight for needle nose pliers) to open up the calipers. But the old brake pads were still in great shape so I reinstalled them. I’ll revisit the rears when I acquire the brake piston tool.

I've only driven just enough to cycle & bed the brake pads. But I'm pretty happy with the results - I'll do a follow up in a couple of weeks after they've seasoned a bit. This will allow the pads to wear throught the zinc coating and give a better feel for how they will perform.

Look very nice!!

A C Clamp will also work as a piston tool

A C-Clamp works great on the front calipers, but imagine my surprise that the rears' are a completely different can of worms altogether. Hindsight I wish I’d of read the manual before taking everything apart. Doh!!

But luckily I learned a long time ago to be careful with the old pads, because you never know if the 18 year old behind the parts counter might have made a mistake. ;)

Anyway the old pads still had over 70% of their material remaining, so I’m not the least bit worried if I don’t get the piston tool anytime soon.

i actually have a caliper tool that would work for ya if you need it, you can borrow it!!

iknow on my rotors you have to rotate the piston back in,, and its virtualy impossible wo the tool!! so just hit me up when you need it!! but yea man,, i got the same decella rotors all around,, theyre great, and even better when accompanied by hawk pads!!

Thanks man! I'll let ua know.

BTW I've ran Hawk pads on other vehicles and lov'em! My little MG has the Hawks with some crossdrilled rotors and stops on a freakin' dime. Try as I might I've never had a fading problem. But then the MG is about 2000 lbs lighter than the Bullitt.
