remove an oil pan on a 67 mustang?

i want to change my oil pump and repaint the oil pan but when i got under the car i found some things in the way...

the main one appears to be some sort of crossbar from the steering... and ive heard some things about removing the starter.. hopefully not... D=

If you are gonna do all that, you should just unbolt the engine, pull it out, and freshen up the engine bay while you are at it. Easy weekend project.

I dropped the oil pan on mine with the engine still in it to unbolt everything so I could pull the engine out without a hoist.

Good luck and if you need any specific help with a 67, let me know. I have one also.
