after racing that SS I think i want to try to beat you with out me getting gears... There is a mod i have been thinking about for a while thats soppuse to really wake these cars up... And it's only cost 100 bucks... It means taking the engine apart alittle but I think it wil be worth it in the long run.....

Yeah me too. There is those motion delete plates from Steeda that are a hundred bucks for my car. They are sopposed to wake up the engines low end TQ an the high end horsepower. I am not sure where they go, but I do need a tune for them. I am putting them in when I go home in may along with tune.

I just found my short throw shifter today and ordered it thanks to WindVeil. Was just a little over 150$ as well. I hope I have it in by Friday. I seen the same shifter for as much as 279$ Should help out a little.

Phill,

I'm telling you this thing is friggin' TIGHT!! The throw is only about three inches from gate to gate, and it will take some getting used to. I'm so used to having that 'certain amount of time' to move the shifter when I stab the clutch to hammer a gear, that it actually feels weird at first. Also, I have since heard that these shifters can cause breakage in synchros... anybody hear of this??

FWIW, I installed it myself in less than two hours... just follow the directions and DON'T put it all together before you install it, or you'll be taking it apart... LOL
