So yesterday I took the g/f Ana-Maria to Mira Mar auto hobby shop and changed my tranny fluid and put in Royal Purple ATF, oil w/ Royal Purple 5W30, Fram tough guard oil filter, recharged my JLT intake filter, and tightened all the lug nuts for one preperation for deployment, races on friday(if weather permits) three it was about that time.
It was my first time doing the tranny fluid on a car period so i was nervous. Im used to doing oil and oil filter. The intake it was my first time charging it since i bought it last year about this time and suprisingly it was really to dirty but then again ive onyl put about 5-6K on the car in a year. only thing that sucks is that i have to take off the passenger tire to get to the intake and have to take off the fender rain guard inside the front. But it does have its beinifts because you can look at your brakes, shocks, sway bar, and springs on that side to see how they are looking. i bought a recharge kit and the cleaner was spray which was fine and dandy but when i got to the damn recharge fluid it wasnt spray and like ooze out so it was a pain in the ass but i got it done. i test drove it up and down the road everything worked great the shifts were so much smoother and my rpm's were about 600-800 lower then the norm so thats always good. i hope to get some decent times this friday at Qualcomm but like i told everyone when we went to Julian my limited slip is either burnt out or in the process because once and a while ill get two lines and others just one.
