welcome, just rock your banner with pride and try to go to the local hang out spots. a smile always helps.

Hi Cody, Welcome and congrats on getting the Alabama chapter started.
I always say be friendly and open. Treat everyone as a potential members. Once you get them in, treat them as an extended family. Make it a family environment. Try to organize get together. It doesn't have to be weekly, but enough time so everyone will get to know each other. Arrange for meeting spots where there is a lot of traffic so it will attract other Mustang owners.
Go to local car meets, shows, legal racing events and hand out business cards. Be responsible as a club and don't do anything that will attract a negative image on the club. Once you get it going, look for a local charity and do some charity function. Do some fundraising for them. Also, one way to get in good graces with law enforcement, is see if they have some sort of charity they contribute to. Most cops are cars and motorcycles people, so, if they see the club as one of the good guys, it can go a long way.
