Homemade Camera Mount!

I wanted a camera mount for my car, so I took my tripod and some bungee cords and made one!

I doubt it's safe at all though.... >.<

Well what I did in order to mount mine is as follows:

1. Went to Frys and purchased a sucker cup adjustable Garmin mount.
2. Put a MF Towel folded on the dash
3. Set camera on top of the towel
4. adjusted the sucker cup mount to fit across the top and then down behind the camera
5. Locked the sucker cup in place when I got enough pressure down on the camera to hold it.

It was pretty simple. I dont have any pictures of it set up though. I think it cost me about 7 dollars for the mount.


Good job on the custom install. Just watch that the bungie cord doesnt break/slip off and bash you in the ear while driving....that wouldnt be good...

lmfao! yeah! I do agree! I'm thinking of using a rope or something, or some kind of tie down to hold it instead of the bungee!

Haha Ive done somthing similar. I set the tripod in the passenger seat, ajusted the legs so it was level, than seatbelted it in hahaha. Its rigged but it works. Ive got a gopro now and that thing is pretty cool. They are coming out with the HD one an I would get that one.

That's what i'm waiting for. I'm buyin the helmet mount so I can use it while on my jet-ski and buying the suction mount.



And no I"m not gonna use it in AutoX or Drags. It was mostly for the cruise today.
