How do I turn off the speed limiter?

K I just figured out today that my car cuts off at 130 miles per hour, how do I turn off that pesky little gadget that stops me from eating rice?

You need a Diablo Preadator, SCT or a chip to modify your computer's tune.

Steve i went with a Diablo an di turned off my rev limiter, and the gov. i dont recomend changing alot though if you dont know your power band. When we dynoed my top horsepwer was made at 5,300 RPM. Well it redlines at 6,000 and probaly falls on face at 6,100 lol. I took mine off cause when I was really on it sifting hard sometimes my RPM would jump as I shift and hit that limiter and fall on its face. Was a paing in butt for me so I took mine off. I will adventually go back in and raise it if I can to 6,500 but not completly take it off. I think my top speed was about same as yours, but after I took the speed limiter off I have had it to 150MPH. I didn't want to push it any further

Steve get a SCT Tuner for your car, you can change the rev limiter, the speed limiter and retune your car ( more HP)

Phil you should be good up to 6500 on a 5 speed. You can set your rev limiter to 6,700 and be fine. Mines shifts at 6200 when on it and Rev limiter is at 6700. Occasuonally goes to 6500 before shifting. my HP peeked right at 6100

TJ I need to get my car on the dyno you used. I think i make over 300Hp to the wheels. i am going to talk to Steve when EVER i finaly get my gears in lol. Man I could have had Steve from Texas chapter pic them up and drive the to me by now..Its been a week and half already.
Tj what did that motion charger delete do for your car and how much are they?

Think the part is 80 bucks, and what it does is lets it dump a crap load of fuel in the engine. i would say easy 15-20hp.

I talked to Steve TJ an di cant get them for my car. It takes a custom tune that my tuner does not offer. I have to get them when I go down to S.Diego and cant have my car tuned on dyno with them..

Ahh thats right everything is setup for the SCT Tuner. I forgot you have the Predator Tuner. I dont know why Predator did such a crappy job on the tuner for the 05+ Mustangs. They were a great Tuner for the 99-04 Mustangs.

DEVILSPAWN I am going to have to disagree with you. Right now Diablo sport has the most HP 05 Mustang that SCT does.. Diablo sport has more 05 NMRA racing mustangs than SCT... That is because SCT is still learning. Not to bring them down they are a good company.

I just havent found a shop near us that works with Diablo. The closest I found is Bakersfield and they guy is really high on tuning. I will get it done when I get down to San Diego. Most of the companys that use Diabl are down there..
