last i heard it should be contained within 24 to 48 hours weather depending. they said by then it should hit the less wooded areas so they can keep it from spreading so quickly. alot of guys on my ship are evacuating. it sux. alot of us on the ship used to fight fires in our own hometowns and we all said we wish we could volunteer to help but our lcpo made us sign a paper saying we wouldnt if the call was put out. since we r so close to deployment and all. any way, they should be able to contain it so long as the wind dies down a little.
