Loud Noise

Need you guys' help.....

On my way home tonite from Sonic, as I was getting on the freeway, I hit a bump on the road. After I hit it, there was a loud noise coming from underneath the car, the rear end more precisely. The sound is a loud sound like the tire exploded and the rubber hitting against something. After about a mile or so, it stopped. There was no vibration, no smell, nothing except for the loud noise and flapping sound. I stepped on the gas and accelerate, no vibration or unusual noise.

After I got home, I looked under the car, did not notice anything have fell off, no leaks, nothing. Do anyone have any ideas what that noise could be? I did not see any external damages. But that was a loud flapping noise.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

No, the noise stop. It went on for about a mile then stopped. There was no damage to the tires. I checked all the external parts, the driveshaft, the pumpkin, rear axle, and the tires. No noticeable damage or leaks.

I would definately look at the inner edges of the tire, in case you cut part of the tire and it flew off.....

Maybe something kicked up and was being flung around by the DS or the rear wheels.....

Wondering where I am!?!?
Was it a hole or a raised bump?

Are you sure you didn't hit what was left of a dead animal?

if it all stopped then probably something was caught in the tire and flew off when it decided to come loose

I did check the tires, and didn't see any damages.

Maybe that could be it. I'm hoping that's all it was. Debris.

Sure sounds like it. I had a tire start to seperate internally on me. You talk about a scary shaking!! Everything looked fine until the tire shop took the tire off the rim.

any findings???

Nope. Didn't see any leaks. Didn't notice any deformation on the tires. Didn't notice any cracks or busted bolts. No missing pieces. No rattling or shaking. Don't know....it looks and feels fine right now. Strange.....
