<div>Many are familiar with the MAHLE PowerPak line - piston assemblies that include forged pistons, piston rings, pins and wire locks all in one race-proven package. But now they have launched the PowerPak Plus targeted directly at the hard core drag racer.<br />

The new Plus kit upgrades the PowerPak from a standard forged piston to a 2618 alloy piston with the rest of the kit contents remaining unchanged. These pistons are more resistant to detention and feature a hard anodized top ring groove. This is because the 2618 alloy is softer that the forged material used in the standard PowerPak so it is able to “give” a little bit when stressed - instead of just cracking. MAHLE currently has applications for Big Block Chevy, Small Block Chevy, Big Block Ford and Small Block Ford that you would assume to be made in a custom line, but you would be wrong. They are selling these as shelf pistons and can be shipped the same day you order! Meaning you can still get them in time for Christmas!<br />

• Grafal anti-Friction coating on skirts<br />
