<div>A new ‘92 notchback Ford Mustang is receiving the final touches at Metz Performance, located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. It will be driven by Heads Up racer Mark Schwarz in the True Street Drag Racing Series Outlaw 10.5 events, at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin.<br />

The sharp new Fox body Mustang is powered by a 434 cubic inch small block Ford, built by AMT Racing Engines in St. Louis, Missouri. The power adder of choice is a three-stage nitrous oxide setup, consisting of two foggers and a single plate system, and will be transferred to the rear end via a Liberty five-speed transmission with a clutch.<br />

Weighing in at around 2200 pounds, the car features a 25.2 double frame rail chassis, a bolt-in legal K-member, and an all carbon fiber interior.<br />

Schwarz currently runs in the True Street Series True Street class, driving an ‘84 Mustang GT - also built by Metz – with an SBF, a fogger and a five-speed that is almost the same combination planned for the new notch. Schwartz typically runs in the 8.2-second range at nearly 170 mph, and he captured the 2007 True Street class championship (after a third place finish in 2005 and second in 2006).<br />

Along with the Outlaw 10.5 class at Great Lakes, the car will also see duty at select NMCA events in Super Street competition.<br />
