Memorial weekend cruise

Just wanted to start this early. Did a RT 66 cruise last memorial day out to the Grand Canyon and had some pretty good interest but only three cars made the cruise. You guys missed one hell of a drive. I was thinking this year maybe going to Monterey via the coast. This would take about 9 hours, but should be a very scenic drive. The RT 66 cruise was a little longer than that last year. This year I would like to make it two days. There is just so much we missed last year because we wanted to be able to get to the GC on sunday morning. Or we could spend more time at the GC and hike to the bottom, something my wife really wants to do. This would require driving out via the 40 and maybe driving back, spliting time between the 40 and 66. Make sure to vote so I can start planning. I will be posting this on other forums so let me know of any others that might be down. I have a poll running on socalstangs so you guys can vote over there. Or a mod (Gibs) can make a poll like it on here.

This cruise is on again for this year. Me and one of the guys from blackmustangclub are getting it together. He already has a thread going on BMC with about 10-12 people very interested. This was a phenomenal cruise last year. Will be starting in Victorville the morning of Saturday the 29th ending in Williams, AZ that night. Visiting the GC sunday and driving back either sunday night or monday. There was only one section we found last year that was really bad to drive, so it will be replaced by the I-40. But almost 90% of the trip will be along the 66. If you never driven the 66, you are in for a treat. Crazy little towns and sights along the way and a vibe that I have never felt on any other road. Not to mention the mountain pass through Oatman, AZ. This will be remembered as one of my favorites.
