Mi-24 Hind painted like an Eagle!

The MI-24 Hind Attack helicopter Gunship is one of the deadliest weapons ever developed, but it isn't American, ... its Russian.

The one here in these photos is actually a Hungarian Air Force Helicopter.

So when you see those emails out there saying that US pilots are flying this around, don't believe it.

yea this one was Emailed to Myz and she asked me to figure out if it was true or not.

The e-mail stated that it was a Russian Hind with US Crew flying it over the hills of Afghanistan hunting Taliban. Well I tracked it down and this is the right helo, but wrong info.

oh and according to the Hungarian Air Force this Helo is Show only but in the first 3 photos I see weapons, and that first photo is out in the field with the 30mm Gatlin mounted under the nose. and the Missile Skid and rocket launcher tubes are there also.

those are some pretty nasty birds. but that isnt flying in afganhistan. there is mil spec paint schemes that can only be deviated on one a/c per squadron and ive never scene it done outside of conus. awesome looking bird though.
