those are different situations though. He killed a few dogs......being a rapist or a peophile i completely different.....

I had a buddy that used to kill cats back in his teens....he is now a high up lawyer in Washignton DC.....he should never have been allowed to do that because he killed like 50 cats in his teen years right?

he did more then just dog fighting that was just the half of it he drowned those dogs, electrocuted them, hung them, shot them so if they are just '' animals'' let someone come to your house and do it to yours I bet you would want him to never be forgiving...... you know just pisses me off that people are accepting what he did. yea his job was football but his job was also supposed to a role model stay out of trouble....... and he didn’t lose everything has back in the NFL isn’t he just a repeat of what he did.... so here comes the millions again for him if anything he will get more jerseys sold bought from ghetto other dog fighters. as a pitbull owner, i look at it as more than killing dogs man. its assholes like that that pits get such a bad name. its assholes like that, that in pennsylvannia if my dog turns up at a humane society, he is put down in 7 days and not 30. because they are a vicious bread. i went to the animal rescue to look at dogs the other day and out of 40 dogs, almost half where pits, and all but maybe two looked very timid, very well taken care of. the people said they get turned in because almost every where in socal will evict you for having them. so i blame asshats like this for it. its cruel. did you ever see the **** they do to those dogs?

you tell me how this is the same as killing cats. im sorry man, this really hits home for me cause we have to brendall pits and they are the most loving caring dogs ive ever seen.

Well before Vick did this, they were evicting people for breeding/owning Pits. There are lots of brutal dog attacks every year because the "Great Timid" Dog will turn on someone. I just had a neighbor evicted for breeding them in housing. The damn things were trying to get through the fence to the neighbors house to attack their dog. They were quite food aggressive, and werent treated well. Not their fault they were mean, but they were so they had to go. The dogs are paying the price, yes. But the people that own them(Not just Vick) are at fault most of the time. It is sad hat the shelters are overfull of them though.

theses ''food hungery'' dogs are great dogs they are like kids if you dont care for them and give them a job they run wild and cause havoc .iv owned pits everyone a great dog theres a pit with my daughter now. i think its a shame that people see these dogs like this i guess its the only bites they show on the news but if a black lab bites someone it was a accient but a pit it was attacking ignorance believe the news on everything

ever had a parking ticket? i say you guys should only be able to use public transportation. how dare you impede someone else from having a spot to get, when they are trying to get to a place in a timely manner. you have not paid enough or done enough to prove you are really sorry.

when i see people saying vick should still be punished, i think of that scenario. if it'll apply to him, why not apply it to ALL crimes? your mother questioned for abusing drugs? fine, ban her from using any sort of drug whatsoever... the drugs she's taking which could save her life, she could abuse. so let her suffer from her disease or illness, rather than get the chance to ever abuse drugs again.

i'm not talking SEVERITY, i'm talking about breaking the simple rules. why should we levy a heavier punishment AFTER the person served / paid what the judicial system already decided on, for one as opposed to the other?

if we are going to keep vick from doing anymore harm to animals by keeping him from doing his JOB, we should keep people from breaking simple parking rules by making them take public transportation. or keep people from speeding EVER again by making revoking their license permanently. even the medicines that can save mom, we should keep that from her cause she has a history of drug abuse.

violent crimes/summary offenses. i dont think a RAPIST should be allowed to work with kids, i dont think a MURDERER should have access to any carreer he wants, these are felonies. michael vick is a felon. the nfl in my opinion, should take the moral high ground and turn their back on him. not just him, but a lot of these assholes. its a privelage to get paid millions of dollars to play a game, not a right. thats just my opinion.

he's realized his mistake. he's lost everything. you all can say what you want, but there's a point where a man can't really give anymore. his words will fall on deaf ears, his actions will never be good enough, his time always too little. but i have faith in change. he's been given another chance at life, another opportunity to do what god blessed him with... and to do it the right way. i recently watched this:

and i can see he's sorry. he has the support of one of the most respected men in the nfl and the president of the humane society. he is working to reach children who may not know any better. he's using himself as an example of what not to do and what road not to travel.

he doesn't have a chance to mess up again. and he's now an advocate for animal rights. not cause he wants to try to look better, cause nothing will erase what he did... he's doing it of his own free will. people are telling him what to do, but it's up to him on how dedicated he will be.

just like i was fortunate enough to be given chances, i'm going to watch and see what vick does with his. i won't say i support him, but reading up, i understand all that he has to go through.
