Moderator lessons learned

OK so now tha we were schooled this morning on our responsibilities we have some lessons learned.

1. Mods stay out of the fight, get the BS stopped (ban/Close thread(s)/whatever) and give the standard phrase if they dont like it....... Please take the issue up with Wickedstangs for resolution.

2. Banning members that know the system/have a work around/whatever doesnt work. Supermods need to have the ability to boot members.

3. PM's dont work. If the person starts to PM you about the issue after you have made an attempt to squash the situation, respond with the standard blurb to take it up with wickedstangs himself for resolution and that the moderators side is done.

4. Infractions dont work for anything on here. They really dont do anything otherwise getting 4 infractions in a matter of an hour would get you booted/banned automatically.

5. There is an ignore list that people can be added to. If there are issues between members, have them turn each other on ignore. You do that by going to someones profile and there is a drop down box that says user lists. Select the ignore list to initiate the ignore.

6. Supermods are not just for 1 section...... they are forum wide and expected to be everywhere. Dont stay out of an area just because it isnt your own chapter. Go into it and monitor all.

7. Be as polite as possible. Even though you will be insulted if you do that.

Most of these wont help but try to stay within them. Please reread the moderator responsibilities again just to be sure we are all working within them.

Thanks
