My 2007 Ford Explorer

Some of you have heard about me talking about my 2007 Explorer that I rolled almost 2 years ago. I bought it in March 2007 and passed on the car heaven in November 2007. I rolled it on my way to work on the 94E near Potrero. This is a 2 lane road going up the mountains in the east county of San Diego. If I had rolled on the west bound side, I would have rolled off the side of the hill, about a 300 ft drop.

Anyways, I loved that truck. It was loaded. An Alpine touch screen/navigation/5"tv monitor/CD/DVD/Mp3/Satellite radio in the dash, duel control zone, 10" monitor on the back with own DVD control. TV antennae (excellent tv reception). It was great for camping and tailgating. I'll try to find pictures of the truck before it was wreck. But all that came to an end on that fateful morning in November 2007. But this is a testament of the new Explorer. I rolled 3 times and I came out without a scratch. A Border Patrol truck was just happened to be passing by and it was funny, I saw red & blue flashing light as I was rolling. The agent said he was waiting for me to stop rolling and expected the worse. He was shocked to see I did not even have a cut on me. I was able to contact my insurance company right after I climbed out of the wreck. LOL!

Here's the aftermath (taken from my phone):

Yeah, I love that Explorer, too. Ride nice and accelerate nicely.

I need to get some pics loaded of the Grand Cherokee we rolled. How did you roll it by the way?

I don't know if you know how the 94 is in the mountains, but its real twisty, I think more so then Palomar Mountain. Well, I was going to work and just past the Tecate turnoff and there is a series of turns. It was about 0500, 5am, and dark. But I traveled that stretch for a long time. But for some reason, don't remember if I took my eyes off the road for just a split second or what, I missed the curve to the left and got my right tires in the loose dirt and it hit a ditch (found out later) and my right front tire caught the ditch and bought my rear around and caused it to roll. Rolled about three times and I was bracing to go down the side of the mountains since I was totally disoriented on which direction I was rolling. Luckily, I stayed on the eastbound side and didn't come close to the westbound side (downhill). Yeah, I was lucky and felt God was really watching out for me that day and I was luckily able to escape any injuries, not to mention serious injuries.

Good god man, Danny thank god your ok after all that!

Myz and I took her 4runner out that once when she first bought it and that is a windy set of curves. Cars and Trucks can always be fixed or replaced but we only have one chance at this life.

Your like a freaking cat man, 9 lives and all!!

Well, with my time in the military and the accident....I say I'm down to about 4 lives left. LOL!

Here are some shots of our Grand Cherrokee that we rolled. It was me, Angel, and Erika when she was 13 days old. I hit a deer at 75 in the rain and lost control. We rolled about 7 times and came to rest on its side. Was not fun at all. Erika did not even wake up lol.
