Disc Brakes Australia is that brake disc company from the land down under that brings a unique rotor design out to the USA. Their new 5000 series utilizes their Kangaroo Paw design vents, which they claim helps cooling by 20% versus conventional designs, and turns it into a two piece rotor. This helps reduce weight by having a lighter, billet center section and reduce cost when it comes to replacing rotors. Simply disassemble the center hat and transfer them to the new rotors.
All rotors are heat treated and come with their Thermo-Graphic paint that changes color depending on the heat of the rotors. Therefor, if you are running an endurance race and want to get an idea on rotor heat, simply look at the paint on the vent side. The staged paint will let you know when the rotors become 856, 1022, and 1166 degrees.
pretty good looking rotors. Wonder what the performance review on them is?
