New Upper Control Arms Installed

Well installing the control arms was very easy, but I had to destroy my UPR solid spherical bushings to remove them. I did modify this kit for ease of adjustment I drilled out a 3/4" nut and slid it over the control arms and then welded the nuts to the arms. I couldn't see putting a pipe wrench on new parts.

Thanks to PapaTom for coming over and helping me get everything installed.........twice, lol!

The point of this install was to fix the poor geometry / location of the upper control arms. The kit raises the rear upper control arm mounting point and moves the car's "instant center" back toward the rear of the car in order to hit the tires harder.

Well enough blab here's the kit installed.

It's ready. If it doesn't hook I'll have to make adjustments on the fly. I'm hoping to get deeper into the 1.4's in the 60' and stay there. Currently I cut low 1.5's with the occassional 1.49-1.48.

i raised the front end up to 20 threads each, i measured each side and the measurments were different for both sides but the fronts were lower by about an inch...

Definitely! Make a couple passes and then we'll put it up on the blocks and set it and see what happens.
