Original 1965 Shelby Daytona Cobra?

HisPony

Wondering where I am!?!?
Rumor and according to a show I saw the other day on HDTHT, there is one in Japan.

Anyone know if it's in a "Private" collection or a Museum?

I have searched and can't find any info on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am heading to Japan on the 9th and would really like to get some pics of the car while I am over there.

Thanks Danny!!

I got the book "Go Like Hell", I was surprised to hear one of these cars was in Japan.

How open is Shelby American if I call them and ask about this car?

Tommy, can you help me out here some? You should have an "In" since you have a Super Snake.

Just give them a call and see. What's the worse they can do? They'll just tell you they don't know or don't have those info. May see about contacting Shelby American PR, they may have better access to the info.

I was just worried that I would p!ss some one off trying to see a car in a Private Collection. Especially in Japan! It is hard enough for a Gijuin to get access to most places.

Can't find any more info. But the one that was sold at Mecum for $7.25 million was chasis csx2601. The one supposedly have gone to Japan was csx2602.

Perfect!!

Danny, if CSX2602 is in Japan, you have a New York Strip Steak and Baked Potato, cooked on the grill, in your future!!
