Having an efficient and simple drive system is something that any person building a new engine wants. Drive system bearings might create power rubbing restriction by not being efficient. On the other hand, some are looking for a simple system in aftermarket form that combines a balancer and crank pulley as one unit.
Powerbond has released a new SFI race series crank pulley and balancer combination. The Powerbond balancers feature a precision CNC machined AUSI 1045 forged steel hub that is bonded to an equally strong inertia ring. This helps minimize the amount of weight connected to the front of your crank while still being rigid. The steel inertia ring of the race series models is positively protected against forward and backward movement. Also, each balancer comes with easy to read timing marks. Best part of all, the balancers are SFI 18.1 certified.
