okay, i understand powertv does our members benefits by getting us some deals on parts, and all we're giving up is time and the use of our cars... but he keeps posting in "wickedstangs news". to my understanding, that forum was for topics relating to the club. anything else should be put in the proper forums. i'm nice and move the threads for him, but it's getting a little bit much seeing NOTHING he's posted so far pertains to the club. i'll send him a friendly message asking him to put them in their proper sections, but if he doesn't, it's considered spamming. seems like everyone else can follow the rules, whether they be vendors or members, so mark should be able to as well.

if anyone has any objections, please let me know. just trying to keep this place organized. :)

i appreciate what powertv does for our members as we've been able to get great deals... but for the sake of organization, i want stuff put in their proper places.

a new member may want to look at "wickedstangs news" to see when events for the club as a whole may occur, and all they'll see are advertisements for powertv endorsed news. that shouldn't be the case.

i did send mark a friendly message already and hopefully topics are put in their proper sections.

again, if there's any objections, just let me know. :)

Ok, maybe I misunderstood "wickedstangs news" thread. I thought that is any information that members would be interested in and it did not have to pertain to only club information. Because we have threads for events in Upcoming events, endorsed events, sections for different chapters. So, if we use "wickedstangs news" for events and things of that nature, aren't we posting those info in multiple threads and then the "wickedstangs news" thread will never be used. I think "wickedstangs news" should be use for bringing on new topics, information for mustangs, and any new mods coming on. I believe that is the correct use of "Wickedstangs News."

then just change the forum to "news". as to me,"wickedstangs news" should pertain to information about the club... look at the pinned topics in that forum:

those have to do with the club and NOT a hard top convertible. i think we have a general discussion forum for issues and news not related to the club.

and yes, we do have an events section, but it isn't spamming if we post info from there onto "wickedstangs news" as events we plan would have to do with the club. if i were a new member and saw a forum labeled "wickedstangs news", i'd expect to see some current info about the club located there... not a bunch of advertising by powertv.

it's up for e to decide though. i was just wanting a little more structure as the "wickedstangs news" to me just turned into another "open lounge" but with topics about anything ford / mustang related... and the topics created could be put in open lounge. i just thought that forum was to serve as a place where people could find info about the club and not advertising / topics not related to the club. i've even seen and moved threads where mark was advertising a mustang / parts for sale.

but it's your guys' call.

All, I am the one automatically posting for PowerTV if you like me to move to a different area I will do it. The reason it is posted there is because it get put on our Front page of Wicked Stangs.

i just thought the "wickedstangs news" section should deal with information pertaining to the club. posting any car news bit in there turns it into another open lounge. the pinned topics of the section deals with the club, but when i scroll down, nothing except advertising or info dealing with stuff not related to the club.

e, you own this club, so it's up to you. i was just making this topic based on what i saw / what i was dealing with as a moderator.

if you see that information about a hard top convertible or anything else posted there as being "wickedstangs news", then i can't really argue with it.

"Mustang Talk"... seeing as most of the stuff there is mustang related. then anything club and/or mustang related can be put in that section.
