This rumor has been*making the rounds*around the internet this past week. The speculation surrounding the rumor revolves around*Carroll Shelby’s health, or lack thereof,*as the key factor in*closing up shop.
Not true says Jim Owens, the VP of Marketing and Communications*at Shelby Automotives,**assured*Mustang enthusiasts that*they have no intention of shutting down and that the company is running smoothly as ever. For further reassurement,*Owens*says their facility in Las Vegas*just built its fiftieth Shelby GT of the day. Also,*Shelby is not likely to back down on commitments that have made with Ford to build the Shelby GT and GT500KR.
