Stereo Question

What would it take to make a Shaker 500 6 disc stereo from an S-197 mustang fit into my dash and plug into a Mach 460 system? Is it even possible?

I don't think it would even fit unless you do some serious cutting and fabricating just to get it to mount in. Then the wiring is a whole different story.

You will need to find a whole new harness and wiring for it.

go aftermarket something with 50+ watts per channel. hell my stereo sounds as good if not better than the s197 system and i have a 100 buck jvc head unit with HD radio and a usb dock for any mp3 player/memory stick with music on it. crappy 80 bucks speaker/amp combo and stock speakers the rest of the way around. car sounds great.

it would fit in the dash. they make kits. its a double deck size right. there is a kit for it, but the wiring would mess everything up

Ok, well I was just wondering. Thanks, if it was relatively easy then I would do it, but wiring is kind of above me.

I dont think it is worth it......the Shaker 100 I have ist all that great....crackles and alot of noise in it when at higher volume. go aftermarket it will be a better product.
