While we were at JBA the other night, I was looking at the T-Bird they have in there. SOmething didnt look right to me under the hood. Thanks to PapaTom for making me realize what it was....why was the engine orange and had the distributor at an odd angle and inserted into the block in the back??? I didnt know that the Ford Engines had rear Distributors. I know there are different colors but Papatom's engine post made me think of the question I had.

I put this in the moderator section as I dont want to look retarded if it is a simple answer....Thanks

That is what I thought.....but I dont know the old Ford engines....

Wasnt sure if there was one out there that was setup like that. It was different than I have seen though from Chevy.....The distributor was at a 45 degree angle comming out of the block on the passenger side rear of the block.

It was different than a 350.

From my experience, Fords mostly have distributors in the front, Chevy and some Mopar in the back, and angled ones should likely be a Hemi. Most Mopar though are still in front.

I saw that T-Bird on Saturday but didn't look at the engine, although I did notice it had a Chevy steering wheel!

I was at JBA on Friday and took this picture of it. It has Thunderbird on the valve covers, but must be an old school Ford. I've never seen that before
