A drilled input shaft has the disadvantage of being less rigid and also a smaller diameter one makes it worse. This is why TCI has released a massive 1.120” solid input shaft for their new Pro-X Powerglide transmission. But this isn’t the only feature that makes this transmission better; a new oiling system reminds one of a priority main system in a block - get the oil where it needs to be first. This is TCI’s philosophy with their new oiling system that redirects oil to the planetaries and high gear clutches for improved performance and durability. This larger shaft requires a custom converter and is designed specifically for 3000+ horsepower applications.<br />
