Tranny is GONE! (Pics added)

well looks like im going to be fixing the transmission in the mach sooner then i thought..... today on my way to school the tranny lost every gear and had to be towed..... After it being towed this happened...

the stupid **** (jones towing) wasn't watching what the hell he was doing and hook my front spoiler with thew winch... So now when the mach's tranny is fixed i have to take it to Jones's auto body to have the chin spoiler relaced (at there cost) oh by the way its at Roger vogt's now.

Now about that dyno day. there is a dyno day/days going on already in March (trucks only) so we ethier need to do it before or after that one. When i get a call from them tomorrow ill get the date of that dyno day/days.....

well got even more bad news......


about 2, 3 months ago i took it to the dealer for the TSB second gear grind.... they did a drain and refill of some kind of additve or some shit trying to fix the problem because the warrenty was up....


well today i got a call from Roger vogts and they told me that the drian plug was in only about 2 threads and the whole under side of my car is covered in gear oil...... So now im waiting on a writen statment from Roger vogts so i can take it to the ford dealership and see what they say..

I'm hoping they pay for this tranny replacemenet or I'm out 4g's....

lol...... hey your on line.................. Yea we will see when the mach's new dyno tested trans is installed. this think has such a bad ass warrenty i get a rental car if this trans brakes...

wow what kinda trans is it.. how much was it. I want to upgrade my clutch and flywheel but havent got around to it.. i will wait till it goes out I guess. Do u still have hook up on gear installs at valley ford

the guy that did my trans at valley is the one who would be doing the gears. so i dont think you want that. i'm still waiting on a phone call for the price of that transmission. i believe the name of the company is Jaspers....

I know of 4 people out here that dropped 3rd gear in their tranny, maybe you should start a class action lawsuit against ford because this seems to be a common problem among stangs

I think the only thing you can do is have them take Rogers shops reputation and consider if its there fault or not. Trans gears go out...its a fact. The harder you run it the harder it is on parts. In your case Andy that is a bunch of bull that the plugg was only in 2 or 3 threads. Now that falls on them. That is probaly why it went out in first place no oil in the trans..I personaly even with a new car check my fluids and whipe my engine down at least once a week. I can't believe you didnt notice your trans was low on fluid. Lesson learn I guess

there is not dip stick on this trans. so its not easy to check. (meaning i have to get under the car.) didnt think i wold have to check my fluid 30 days after my car was serviced at the dealer...

well so far i ordered....

Rebuild Tr 3650 trans
11" mcleod stage 2 clutch
PMP firewall ajuster and Quick release quatro
new clutch cable
FRPP heavyduty clutch fork and pivot ball
billet steel flywheel
MGW Short throw shifter

all for about 2 grand... not bad if you ask me.

I got the Dealership to pay half parts half Labor, so a little over 2 grand

So a gran told of 4000 bucks........Glade im not paying for all of it.... [size=55pt]THANKS FORD!!!!

yea it was already going out. so i just told them what happen and asked for half and half and they agree no problem....

Great!!! The transmission, 11" clutch, Firewall ajuster, and quick release qautro are on their way to Roger vogts arrival date is 12/28.... My Flywheel and MGW short throw shifter is oo to way to my house (12/28) the HD Clutch fork and pivot ball are sitting on my car waiting for the rest of the parts....


My car is on a lift at roger vogts stripped down as you can see in the Pictures just awaiting PARTS....

I think it will be done before the next meeting, If not you guys will get to see the 68 mustang, I have finished it and am driving it trying to sell it... I'm going to Sassy Classics tuesday to see if they will buy it for $9,000

well roger vogts recieved the Transmission, Clutch, etc....

it's scheduled to be started tomorrow morning... hopefully it will be done for the nexted meeting. Or i might be bringing the 68 mustang.... we will see.
