I don't have any problem with parts department. (Valley Ford) They got my Roush spoiler sent to them with my paint code cheaper than what I would have got it directly from roush unpainted. Saved me alot of money. On the other hand they could not do a easy fix. My car never came with the wheel lock Key for my wheels. They told me mustangs didn't come from factory with locking wheels. Lithia has wheel locks on 90% of there Mustangs.

Valley Ford is not all bad. Their service department leaves alot to be desired though. But I bought my 2004 Expedition and my 06 Mustang GT from them. Both purchases were pleasant.

Well I don't care for there Customer service when it comes to buying a car from them either. I was on the way to drop off my heads to my FOX and me and the wife seen the Roush sitting out front. I had to stop a guy came out to talk to me..... I said lets do the paperwork. We went inside then he explained well its got the Roush package ect.. so this car will be 45,ooo i was like what it dont say that on Sticker. He was like well we dont actually put the Roush stickers on them so we can get people in door to buy them... so frustrated I said ok well show me a new GT. We went out side made small talk as he showed me a few and then he said so how much u putting down. I said zero. Well what rank are you? e-5. He then told me look at this white 6 cyl car its nice comes with automatic...I said excuse me I have a 5.0 liter at home. I am on my way to drop off my heads to get ported ect. He told me " you are wasting my time its hot out here i am going back inside in the AC. Come back when you got some money to put down" Well after i dropped off my heads I asked where is the closest Ford dealer ship. well Lythia is down the street. i explained to them what happen at Valley Ford and they sid you wont have a problem here. They guy who approached me couldnt answer any of my questions about the car so he got a diff sales guy who new alot more. He said i tell you what lets just go for a ride. He pulled my car off the corner and said come on. as we approached the light to get on highway he said do yo like this car? If I can get u in a payment you like will you buy it from me? I said sure but i have to be at work n 2 hours. He reached up took the T.C. off and said mash it... I was in and out of financing in a hour and a half. My window sticker said 33,000 I rolled out of there with the car, made it to work on time, and after every thing was said and done I paid 24,500 for my blackstallion06.

But to defend them. If you guys have had work done to your car lately. I have..LOL (fried power outlit in lemoore parade) they have a beautiful blondy in her mid to20's to early 30's selling cars now. LOL guess they got rid of that grumpy old man who wouldnt sell me a car

Well here is my quick story. I show up in town with an 04 cobra with 3 melted pistons with only 8k on it. I call ford and they tow it for free. Valley ford within 3 weeks puts a new long block computer and radiator for a grand total of $562.00 ford covered the engine and radiator but because there was a chip in the car they said i had to pay for the computer. I tosted a motor at 15psi running down the highway when my intercooler fuse blew and I had no idea. Valley ford were very good to me and fast. I would always go back to them. I have herd alot of bad stories about dealerships and warranty work but valley ford fixed my screw up. they also installed the ldc cooling mod at no additional charge and a twin disk clutch no questions asked ( i paid for the parts). It goes back to have the diff seals replaced under warranty because it is leaking. I had level 5 axles put in and the shop back in MD must have damaged a seal because it is leaking now but valley ford is comming to the rescue for free.

Glad they could help you. I forgot all about this post. Latest expirence with valley Ford:

I tool my 06Gt to the because the drive by wire system was messed up due to a bent spring when transfering it over to the BBk. I had to argu with them for 20 min and show them what was wrong with my car. I told them they had to replace it because everything is under warenty. They refused said the T.B. was tampered with. I then told them I was going to send out a mass e-mail on base about my past expirences there and I would put a post up on W.stangs about them. After I cursed and curesed till people where staring the manager then refused ect... I was going to pay for the part have them ship my T.B off to who ever investigates these cases... ( total cost 647.oo for T.B.) Finaly I yelled some more and the manager got on phone came back and said he was sorry I was right. Everything is under warenty no matter what I do as long as I dont blow the engine... long story short.

now BBk do not buy a throttle body from them to replace the stock on a 05-07. Its not worth the time or hassle. The gains are a min all it gave me is a better throttle response. It was profesionaly installed and still doesnt act right. The installer said its better just to buy one out of a diesal truck. Its actually a 75mm if I remmeber right and flows better. You also have the whole unit and do not have to mess with your dierect drive wire system.

i registered just to tell you you sound like an idiot. if YOU break something, ford IS NOT liable to repair YOUR mistake. i hope there wasn't a large audience at the dealership when you were there, cause if i were you, i'd be embarrassed.

anyways, nice site. hope this doesn't get me banned 8)

QUOTE: NICKF1011
"A warranty claim CANNOT be denied unless the dealer or manufacturer can DIRECTLY attribute the failure of the part to an aftermarket part on the vehicle. There was an article about the nitty-gritty details in MM&FF several months ago and it was pretty enlightening.

You may have to do a lot of complaining to get the work done, but a new air filter is NOT going to void your warranty.

Additionally, even if a performance part does directly cause the failure of a warranty part, this does NOT mean that the entire vehicle warranty is voided. The claim for that specific part might be denied, but the remainder of the warranty should remain in tact.

In other words, don't worry about installing new exhaust, springs, shocks, air filters, etc, as basically none of those could possibly (with VERY few exceptions) cause a failure of any kind on your vehicle.

Now, with certain things like a PCM reflash, the dealer could pretty much blame that for anything that goes wrong with the engine. On the other hand, you could tell your dealer to go sit & spin if they try to deny your claim on your cruise control not working because you have a catback exhaust.

You just need to pick and choose your mods while under warranty or just accept the risk that some things are not going to be covered should they break. Also, you may expect to see some additional charges for repairs should the technicians have to remove/modify/replace any aftermarket component on your vehicle while performing warranty work on a non-related item (removing long tube headers to replace a broken transmission for example)."

Emilio thank you that is what I was getting at..when a dealer tells someone that hey you voided your warenty you have a after market part on your car that is not true. Most people dont know this and will just let it slide. My point to the whole story was not to make a ass out of myself but to show some of the fellow Mustang guys and gals out there that a dealer has to cover your car unless as Emilio said you blow your moter ect... Sorry if my post offended anyone or was hard to understand the point.

you're correct when you say that an aftermarket part doesn't "void" a warranty. however, if an aftermarket part can be proved to cause a failure, that failure will not be covered under warranty. in your case where the installation of an aftermarket throttle body was the direct cause of a part to fail, Ford is not liable to repair the failure. springs don't get bent from normal use... the only way it could have been bent is by being tampered with. so i think the dealership was definitely in the right by refusing warranty service for the damaged spring.

these issues fire me up, because the more and more of us that try to pull the curtains over the dealers eyes, and the more we hassle them, the thicker their skin gets and the less they're going to be willing to listen to real issues with an open and unbiased mind. for easily solved problems like a bad spring, this would have been in EVERYONES best interest if you would have just taken care of it yourself. you only made it harder for the next guy to come down there with serious problems.

I see your point.. other than the fact that it is covered by warrenty.. If you read the other post on the forum you will see tha tI am not the only one who has trouble with Valley ford. I would have had it taken to Lythia in Fresno but my Isurance wouldnt take the car that far. i had talked to them already and they explained that it wouldnt be a problem they would cover the part by ordering a new one. If I wanted the to do the actual T.B. install of the BBk they would do that as well at my cost. . It is not just replacing a spring. Springs are cheap... This is a bad set up by design. Did you see the Video put out by Ford racing showing up grades and dyno runs they did with a new mustang. The (tool) they used to preload the spring in the drive by wire sytem does not come with a new BBk T.B. I called Ford Racing to ask about this special tool where I can find one or buy one from and the tech line could not answer my question. Is it BBK's fault for making the design of the throttle body or is it FORD RACINGS fault for putting out a video showing the public and telling the public how to do the modification? It took BBk a while to actually get the T.B. marketed because of the transfer of parts from the orriginal T.B. on the car. We all drive Mustangs and all want to improve performance wether its the suspension or the engine modifications we do to our cars. We like to drive are cars and want them to perform to the best of there ability. If not we be driving 1985 escorts around because we all love the Ford name..LOL

i guess the easiest way to explain right vs wrong with warranties is this- if the part wouldn't have broke had you left it alone, then it's on you. not ford. bottom line, and that can not be debated, no matter how you look at it.

I still love Valley Ford. If you need warranty service go talk to a guy in service named steve corbridge. He will get the job done.(take all aftermarket parts off first or take the ones off that could have contributed to the failure and be nice a calm) . this worked great for me:)
