WTF???

I get in my car last night to go home from work, start it up and I hear MAIN BEARINGS??? 11,710 miles, and I am hearinjg main bearings? I have changed the oil three times on this car after the first 1,000 miles using Mobil 1 oil and Motorcraft filters. Now I understand that this is a common issue on small block Fords, but come on... 11k miles???

To say the very least, I am extremely livid!

Any ideas, anyone??

wow, are you sure. 11,000 seem low of milage to have bearing problems. Is the car still under wannanty?

I am dead sure... it sounded like the front main was washing. However, I just talked to a racing buddy of mine here at work, and he said that it could have been that it was hot out (which it was hot yesterday) and the lifters could have drained and that may be what I heard. But I know that sound, and it definitely made that sound...:( Yeah, it is under warranty, but I don't know how much crap the dealer is going to give me because of all my mods.

Well if need be I would say change everthing back to stock even airbox and take it in to them for service. I am going to try to get them to replace my clutch for free or at least adjust it for me

Wtf: Update

Ok... I had to go to Sunset Ford today to sign paperwork on the wife's Escape that was in for a bunch of recalls that needed to be taken care of. I asked the service manager and a technician if we had adjustment in our clutches. No... they are hydraulic, so no adjustment. As far as the bearing noise, I haven't heard it since the other day, and I drove the car to work today and hammered the absolute shit out of it. No noise, no clutch smell, nada. I am happy... LOL. For the record, it was in the mid 90's here today, but very little humidity and it ran like a striped-assed ape. Heavy traffic, stop and go on highway 30, and after I got out of the traffic and out of town towards home, it cooled down some and man... it screamed! I'm not going to worry anymore until something breaks, but I am going to order the Spec Stage II from you very soon, Emilio. I will call you when I am ready... probably next pay period.

Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulders, guys...

Thanks, Henry...

Sniff... LOL. Well, I took Amy and went to a small car show in Desoto this morning. We had the only Mustang there, but still had a good time. Even as friggin' HOT as it is here today, the ran beautifully... even with the AC cranked up.

We also saw a guy in a nasty white Fox that was cammed to death... he wasn't much of a talker, so we just hit Sonic and got Amy some vittles and went homeward.
