BJ you do not have adjusting type roller rockers. Your are pedastal mount. I would have to stop by and listen to what you are talking about.

Any loss of power or performance? Could be a spring starting to weaken.

what is milage... If its a roller motor i dont think the springs are shot...they normal last a while... but hey alot of over reving could destroy just about any valve spring... Just check and see, pull the valve cover off and see if there are any bent pushrods or broken valve springs.. or shit just a rocker that backed off..

just had them off yesterday and they appeared to be good...i am gonna take it over to emilios this weekend and let him check it out....the more i hear it tho i think its an enhaust leak and that would mean there is something else wrong thats making it misfire...

Worst case scenario, could also be a flat spot on the camshaft... I hope not, but the possibility does exist. Have you run a compression test yet?

Is it throwing codes?

back to the roller thing, not really common to flat cams with roller, but i could happen......Milage? Do you have headers? Do a compression check or leak down test first. unless your positive its exhaust leak... did anyone of the valve (rockers) seem to be really loose, or did you just look at them?

I'm totally with &y on this... I would do a compression test before I did anything else.

mileage: 116000, none of them felt loose at all. it is throwing a code for my O2 sensor voltage, but thats it. yes i have headers. this weekend i am going over to emilios and i will have him help me out on this. i am not too familiar with the fox yet to tear it apart. another possibility i think is that the 2 are unrelated. i hear the exhaust leak, but the "misfire" could be from my distributor, when i repainted the cap the other day, the rotor and cap looked pretty worn. i could even check the plugs. the wires are pretty new tho

the miss fire im sure is un related to the tick... you probably have a exhuast leak and it could make the car feel like its stumbles... I would go and by a cap, rotor, Plugs. NGK or autolites, and exhuast manifold gaskets.... and spend the week end learning Your FOX.. you should beable to get pretty familiar with your car this way. Emilio make him do all the work. JUST SUPERVISE!!! there really isnt anything he can screw up..

I cant wait till my son is about 8-9 years old.. There will be no more exhuast gasket and plug changes for me...thats all him LOL!
