Fits 2005-2007 (Gen-5 Mustangs)
Tough, lightweight T6061 Aluminum
Simple, direct bolt-on installation with supplied adapter plate & bolts
Half the weight of factory steel shaft
Dana Spicer 1330-series u-joints
Fully balanced and rebuildable
Stock Driveshaft weighs 39 lbs. versus Coast Standard Duty Shaft at 17 lbs and the HD version at 18.5 lbs.
Reduce rotational mass and you reduce stress on driveline components AND free horsepower!
Installation is simple!
Stock ride height vehicles simply bolt in the driveshaft
Lowered vehicles (1-2 inches) need to simply move the emergency brake cable mount about 1.5 inches away from tunnel.
Lowered vehicles (2+ inches) need to move emergency brake cable and bend two small pieces of metal up to allow for clearance of the driveshaft. It will in no way affect the structure of the vehicle and is a simple modification.
