Friend of mine on the ship started leaking fuel from the rite side of his gas tank. Not sure if its a hose yet or the tank itself. Anyone know where the hobby shop is and hours of operation? Thanks in advance-Shane

There is one on North Island also, on the left side after the circle with the Helo's as if you were going to PSD. Rules are'nt too bad, Tools are good and it's pretty clean.

Whats your guys take on this.... Checked out under the car and the fuel was dripping very hard on the rite side of his car. Looks as if it is comming from the top of the tank but dripping from the center seem. He just filled the car up and it started more after the car had been running for a while. Gaskets? Orings? Hose? I would think I would find the problem rite after dropping the tank. Never done that before but sure it's something I could tackle. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.-Shane

ok - is it leaking at the seam or the top?

if its a seam leak - just get a new tankfrom pull-it parts yards on Main st. in Chula Vista. but if its from the top where the fuel guage and pump enter in - could be a seal leak there.

If you need a truck to help out, just holler and I'm at Bldg 58 at pier 2. Phone # 619-851-5785.

did you check the fuel filter could be a lose hose or bad clamp

Didnt get a chance to get a good look cause its a low car and the hobby shop was closed. Will do so as soon as it is open which is tomorrow I think. However, he is thinking about trading the car in on a G35 tomorrow so not sure if he plans to fix and trade or just trade. -Shane

Well an update...
I went car shopping with my friend up in El Cajon. Cant recall the place but had some nice lifted trucks on the left accross from the Harley Shop and down a few blocks. The salesman started off on a great foot! I was like nice an 03 red cobra vert..he goes "yeah that's a 500HP car!" Of course my reply was "no...no it's really not". He tried to tell me it was till I spouted off stuff like 390hp/390tq at the flywheel, built bottom end, lots of potential and that, I own one.
Anyhow..my boy test drove a nice Infinity G35 and he said something just didn't feel rite. So we looked around and then went to another lot and he drove a ugly as hell Pontiac white Solstice with black rims. He got out of the car and gave the horrid look. So then he took a Red 2005 Pontiac GTO for a spin and came back ear to ear. He now owns it and loves it. I told him that it was indeed the best car on the lot and he got it flawless for $18,500 out the door after a $2500 warranty. Car had about 50,000 miles on it and OMG it mint. Little jelous cause his 400/400 LS2 will take my Mach1 easy even though my Cobra will eat his Goat! Love the car though and wouldn't mind having one myself! -Shane
