Wondering where I am!?!?
Odd format, taken from:

http://www.wellandtribune.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1138172

While not a TV show, Christensen also created Armdrop Live, which came to Toronto Motorsports Park, in Cayuga, in early July.

"I created it so I could do something live and do what I want, something with no pressure, no cameras, no regulations. It leaves me free to do what I want as a performer."

Armdrop Live takes bracket racing and adds a twist to it. In bracket racing, each car chooses a dial-in time before the race, predicting the elapsed time the driver estimates it will take their car to cross the finish line. The slower car in the race is given the green light before the faster car by a margin of the difference between the two dial-in times, so if both were perfect, the cars would cross the line dead even.

If either car goes faster than its dial-in -called breaking out -it's disqualified, regardless of who had the lower elapsed time; if both cars break out, the one who breaks out by the smallest amount wins.

The twist added to Armdrop Live is that, as two drivers stage before Christensen, a small display screen at his feet pops a number up.

Drivers only have a second to read that number before Christensen drops his arms. The number is what the driver has to run the quarter-mile in.

The win goes to the driver who runs closest to the number. If both drivers run quicker than the time, the driver who runs closer to the number is given the win light.

"Brian (Bossone) and Kevin Deane are the geniuses behind the show. It's an exciting format. I'm interested in every race."

Jerome, who is the announcer for Armdrop Live, said the event and format is exciting and riveting.

"I really hope it catches on."

Jerome said he's glad to be part of Armdrop Live and happy for Christensen. "I've known Rich for 20 years and the best part for me is seeing the success he's had and being part of it. It's pretty damn cool."

thats cool.

Sounds like a lot of peddling instead of running your car to me.

I'll race with a tree and leave the theatrics to Rich and his crew

Just my 2 cents

If more of us, me included, would show up in force at T&t's asking for a street shoot out type of deal it would help.

How many showed up to thier Mustang Night?

I didn't, so I have no right to ask for more until I do.

Next year will hopefully be a different story.

bracket racing, what a novel idea.lol. bracket racing is fun, its actually a lot like pinks. if you think about it the challenge isnt car vs car, it isnt driver vs driver, its who knows their consistency. same thing with bracket racing. saw a guy in 89 grand prix win a tournament with 7 second cars (1/8th mile) he knew what his car ran and ran it on the button every time.

You are dead right on this Mav. This is where them Auto cars come in handy. My buddies 07 runs 8.4 every races on bottle if not its a 9.0 car back to back
