so, does anyone know what is and isn't allowed for SMOG? i've heard so much stuff....you can only mod your motor if you have a 50-state legal sticker to occpany it, you can't change the stock wiring harness, you can do this, but you can't do that...what the hell are you allowed to do?

in cali....whatever you do internally they will not know...except cam. as far as bolt ons, i dont know the exact rules but i think it has to have the 50state card with it and it has to pass the sniffer.

yes they know about cams...Smog techs aren't stupid...... can you tell if it has a cam??
anything that comes with a carb. # is fine... that hole cant mess with the wiring. isnt true unless your removing a smog related wiring harness...easiest way to explain it
Compucam2031 i hear is an awesome came and Ford racing make nice 50 state cams as well... but most are for 5 speeds.
