[Dec 7, 2013] Toy Drive and Car Meet (San Diego, CA)

San Diego Police Department is hosting its 2nd Annual Officer Jeremy Henwood Toy Drive and Car Meet on December 7, 2013 at Cherokee Point Elementary School from 10am-2pm. Bring at least one new unwrapped toy to benefit local children in need. There will be face painting for children, food, and refreshements.

This is the time of year WickedStangs San Diego take part in community events to give back to the community and assist those in needs. This is the first event, hope we can have a good turnout.

We will discuss this event at our December meeting. We can decide on a meeting location and time at the meeting.

We will meet at the Starbucks located at 3895 Fairmount Ave, San Diego. It is right next to a McDonald in the Albertson's (I think) parking lot. Meet time is 9:30am and will rollout to the school at 9:45am.

Today, myself, JP (Screamingyellow), Jeff (WarriorF150), and Ben, participated in this event. I believe the weather kept many people away. There were some drizzle early in the morning, but for the most part it did not rain. Here are a few pictures I took. Despite the small numbers of cars, there were a lot of toys donated.
