Don't be that guy at the track

Just starting this to help new people going to the track for the first time & to remind people not to be a ****.
Heres some tips:
• You don't need to do a five minute burn out: get 'em hot & stage
• You don't need your buddy on the starting line video taping the 6 dry hops you think you need to do (see above)
• If you know you are losing fluid, stay out of the staging lane. (This includes the water from the bag of ice you may have used in the pits)
• This ain’t the Coca-Cola 600, you don’t need to try to get laps in. Make a pass & let it cool.
• Watch for the other guy in the shut down area. Don’t just pull over to the return road if it isn’t on your side of the track.
• Unless you are the ghost of Lee Shepard, do not do a burn out past the stating line.
• The starting line is not all the way up at the tree. Don’t pull all the way up there. Watch a few people make a pass & figure out where it is before you try to make a pass.
• The starting line isn’t in the water box either. Don’t start trying to bump your way up from there.
• Pay attention. Be ready when the starter motions you up.

Feel free to add more

This is pretty close to what Phil already posted, but I thought this was more on the funny side. This reminded me of FFW when they kicked out like 10 people for doing a burnout past the starting line. LOL

Someone will argue, but it is pointless to do burnouts with street tires. It won't do anything but wear out your tires.

Thanks Orange. I plan on finally putting the car on the track soon. I have a slight oil leak on the dipstick or level sensor on the drain pan. Once I find and fix it, I plan on running. I'll do a lot of spinning...street tires...until I can afford my ET streets. Going from 245 to 275and then I should have a little better grip. Then I'll be working on correcting wheel hop next.

Wondering where I am!?!?
Where is that video of the dude that stages with the rear tires, backs up, forgets to put into first and then hits the gas in reverse?
