Have you cleared the codes? Either with a programmer or by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes with the headlight switch on?

"IF" that clears the codes, try again using the remote to unlock the door and your working key to start the car.

Have you done any programming/tuning recently or immediately previous to this?

Is it possible at all you or someone else tried to start the car with the unprogrammed key, by accident?

That could possibly bring about your condition.

Out of curiosity, has your fuel pump inertia switch been tripped? (trunk, driver's side)

I tried reprogramming the key and it didn't work.. I cleared the codes with a hand held but didnt turn the lights on... they are cleared now.. why do the lights need to be on... going to dealership today to get my valve cover gaskets and spark plugs

oh and sorry went to bed after post

the head lights run off the battery... if it's disconnected, the lights can't drain anything???

It's just a measure to make sure the sytem is comepletely drained of any residual voltage. Likewise, if you had a subwoofer system with a huge capacitor, you might want to insure it too is drained of any residual voltage. Even a small amount of voltage left in the system can prevnt the codes from clearing.

Ah, gotcha.

Is this the first time you had these codes? Have you ever had either one before, whether together or alone?

I asked a few posts ago if you had recently done any programming on the car or if the wrong key (unprogrammed) might have been used.

Basically, do you have any idea what brought this on?
What, if anything, happened immediately before the codes showed up?

happened to me your car went into theft mode.

I cant remember exactly what to do but look in your owners manual and call roadside assistance they will give you step by step instructions. Thats what I did

I was thinking when he said he had gotten a code saying the vehicle was immobilized, it really was immobilized and couldn't be started or driven. That's what "immobilized" is, right? Apparently he could start it because he said never couldn't start it.

I don't understand.

its just a P1260 DTC... was just randomly checking for codes and have found it twice now...

car has never givin me a starting problem... no programming has been done.. all i know is a P1260 theft detected has been a stored DTC twice now.

the last time the P1260 code came up it had another code of p0102 low MAF sensor voltage... that was because it was disconnected.
