I know this is marked on the events calendar and there is am RSVP thread but I thought we could have a thread for discussion for folks going, thinking about going, etc.

Personally, having gone to many of these, I have found it fun to go up Saturday, late afternoon and get a hotel room. Then a bunch of us can go out to dinner and drinks. Then back to the hotel to sleep it off. Then get up Sunday morning, group up in the hotel parking lot and proceed to the show "en masse" and make a dramatic entry.

I know some like to get up at 4am on Sunday and drive up on the morning of the show but that makes for a LONG day.

Anyone else going up Saturday afternoon/evening?

If there's enough, we could decide on a hotel close by and get a block of rooms and try to get a discount. The time to do this is NOW since this is a BIG show and hotels fill quickly.

Ideas?

We need to represent WICKEDSTANGS in a BIG way. And every car going in from our club should have a windshield banner on it! LOL

Let's use this thread to organize...

1. Meeting place before northbound cruise for Saturday people and another for Sunday morning people.

2. Cruise route/maps (make a map once the route is decided and make and post a pdf here for download and printing.

3. Cell phone contact list for people getting lost.

4. Hotel accomodations for Saturday people/Dinner plans if desired

And any other things we need to work out.

I know we discuss at the meeting last night we may be meeting at JBA on Sunday morning since JBA offered the parking lot as a staging area.

Maybe you could do that for Saturday, too. I know JBA offer the use of their parking lot as a staging area. But just give them a call ahead of time so they will know. I think they also said the parking lot next to them are their's too.

This is why I hate missing the meetings but I can't make Wednesday meetings. Bummer!

Anyway, I'd like to get an idea of who would like to go up the night before. I will look into hotels, resturants and discounts/reservations nearby Knotts

Meeting at JBA on the morning of the show or the day before?

I am exploring the possibility of a group going up saturday afternoon or evening.

Well the one at JBA is the day of the SHOW they will be meeting up around 0600 and depart from there.

I'm putting my entry in the mail today. I suggest everyone get theirs in soon as this event fills up fast.

I'm looking at staying at a local hotel, possibly Hotel Pepper Tree for around $90. http://www.hotel-peppertree.com

Well as of right now I will be inport and leave that Monday so I am game for going. I will probaly get a hotel as well. That way have time to spend with the family and stuff in park as well as time to check out all the cool rides

I will not be home for this but.......... I would let a close friend drive my car there! NOW DONT YA'LL GO THINKIN THIS IS THE TIME TO RIP AND TEAR!!!!!. I will trust some of my personal friends, "If you are trying to figure out who I am...you are not one of them," to drive my car up there and present it and represent the CLUB! Now with that comes some duties....1. You must make my car show worthy...... I.E. Clean it/wax/clean the shiney polished stuff under the hood. 2. You must not abuse my car in any way that my wife....WHOM WILL BE FOLLOWING CLOSELY will tell me about ..."wanting to fly home from Japan and rip you ducking throat out," .....in any shape or form!!!!

Driving my own if I go.. who ever decides to get the guts to ask though I would help them detail it for you. Why dont you ask your buddy with the F250?
