Well, The time has finally come! I will be getting the car tuned at ST MOTORSPORTS this friday.

I've heard nothing, but great things about Adam who is the owner and tuner @ ST. Almost everyone who has had their car tuned there says that they will never take the car anywhere else as long as Adam is around. Lets hope I feel the same way when it's all said and done.

The other day I was in Wal-Mart and I went to get my usual oil which is Castrol 20w-50. It was on rollback for $12 for a 5qt bottle, but they were all out. Instead I grabbed some Penzoil which was even cheaper and loaded up my cart. When I got down to the register I thought to myself...........Self, why would you put thousands of dollars into your engine and then buy some cheap ass oil????!!!!! I left the cart there and ran like hell to buy this!!! LET THE TUNING BEGIN!!!!!

After taking out the 42's and putting the 36's back in it idles pretty good right now. Well run it with the 36lbers, but I will have the 42's on hand just in case the 36's get maxed out.

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! I feel like I'm losing my virginity, lol! I just hope all goes well..........

I agree on your comment about spending thousands on the engine and not buying Penzoil. Many engine builders have told me to "stay away from that junk".

Does Royal Purple prolong the oil change intervals? or do you still have to stick to the regular scheduled intervals?

Once I get my 347 done, should I break it in with regular oil then go to RP or use RP from the beginning?

they sy you can prolong the oil change from what i hear, but i dont like to chance it, i change it at 3000 miles anyways.... btw rp makes a "break in" oil that you can get at pep boys...

synthetic prolongs the time between changes because it doesnt break down as fast and loose its viscosity....however, your filter is a different story....ive gone as much as 4k on my mustang and the oil came out looking brand new, i just dont like to chance it.
