Frame rail question

I am about to start removing panels in order to replace the rear frame rails of my 67 coupe. Well I was wondering if it is better to:

1. Leave the floors in and work around them

2. Remove just the under rear seat floors

3. Remove the under rear seat floors, and driver and passenger floors too....leaving the tunnel only.

4. remove floors, quarters, wheelwells, and trunk floors too?


If anyone has done this let me know please.....I am going to start cutting tomorrow. I think I am going to cut out the under rear seat floors and the trunk floors.

Project Fukstain's parts are all here and I cant wait to get them installed.

Gibs...... Angel is looking for someone to take Lucifer out for a spin. I told her that even though she can not reach the pedals with the CR 1's she could ride along with someone that could. I dont want my car to set in the garage for 6 months and not move!!!! YOU can give her a call from time to time and dust her off if ya want. Just dont take her to Balboa lmao.

I thought that was in a PM. I have been looking for it lmao. Whenever you can will be fine. you wont be able to only drive it once a month though.........You will get BITTEN LMAO. OK I will not hog up your thread. On another note I am not sure about cutting all your floor pans out at once....... Is there a chance that something could tweak and get twisted when you weld in the new pans???

as long as the tunnel is there it should be good. There would still be metal going from 1 side to the other and front to back....s i dont think it will tweak.....I am leaving doors on and doing back frst then front.

I am only gonna do 1 side at a time though.
