Going in for surgery

For those of you so inclined, I would appreciate a prayer when you can. I'm going into Grossmont Hospital (La Mesa) Monday morning (14th) for Total Knee Replacement surgery on my right knee. I had the left one done in March and it was a total success. I'm hoping for this to be another success.

I will be online while there since I will have my laptop and the hospital has WiFi (just like Starbucks).

Surgery is 2.5 hours and starts at 0830. I should be back online late in the afternoon or early evening.

So, wish me luck. I should be back home on Wednesday.

Another surgery, another scar!

Google Total Knee Replacement and see what they're doing to me!

Metal and plastic implants and a nifty lttle laminated card to carry because I trip the metal detectors at the airport and Federal buildings. KEWL!

I'll be online tonight until about 2200 and then sleeping in prep for tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Emilio, I'm taking all my WS files ona thumb drive with me. If something comes up, I will do what I can from there. If I can't I'll still be back home Wed.

If that ain't dedication...........I love this place!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of it either, but it's only for 2 days. I hate the constipation side-effect. I'd rather just take something non-narcotic if possible.

Rest is the LAST thing they want to you to have. They have you up and walking the afternoon after the morning surgery. They want you to begin bending the knee immediately and not allow scar tissue to build up. I did really well last time and went home a day early. My doc said I'm a rare breed, extremely motivated and driven.

Duh! Who wants to stay in a hospital any longer than they have to?

The food sux, the place is FULL of germs, even the people who VISIT get sick just being there....

No rest for me. They don't have BEER there! LOL

Hello all from room 309 East at Grossmont Hospital. Surgery went without a hitch. The pain is incredible but diminishing quickly. Since I feel better, I thought I'd fire up the laptop and drop by to let everyone know I'm still alive, doing good and to thank you all VERY MUCH for the prayers and well wishes.

Will post pics later.

Thanks again for all the kind words!

Tim
