Hood Latch

if anyone is having problems or is having to SLAM their hoods to get them to close i found out how to make it adjustable.

you take off the plastic radiator shroud. You take out the two screws holding the hoodlatch to the car and disconnect the the latch release cable. take the hoodlatch out of the car and you will see two studs sticking out to help hold it into place. Hit the studs with a hammer or wrech what ever and they should come out or you can twist them out with a pair of plyers. Taking those pins out allows you to adjust the latch up or down left or right on the mounting bracket on the car. I moved mine all the way up then One centimeter down and all the way to the right. Now all i have to do to close the hood is lay it down for the first click then barely push down and it locks. Or i guess you can just buy a new latch but hey its cheap, and it works and it closes even better than it did when it was brand new.

I was a little skepticle about removing the pins at first but all they do is hold it in place so that you can slam the hood if need be. If all you are doing is laying your down and it locks with little to no force the latch wont move so the need for the pins is gone.

If anyone knows a better way please let me know, and if not this works pretty well

yeah i did it. I only takes about 30 minutes to do. Now my hood closes as easy as my trunk. I'll stop by whenever you want man. Just give me a call or text.

Just need a Philips head screw driver, a 8mm socket and ratchet, a rag and some WD-40 and your money oh and a pair of plyers.

but just let me know and ill show you how to do it
