this evening i changed the oil and then the spark plugs. well the oil part whent fine, but while i changed the spark plugs (the old ones were motorcraft platinums) the first 3 on the drivers side and the first 2 on the passenger side had oil all over the threads, but not around te electrode. well i replaced them with autolight double platinums. and now running royal purple 5-30w syn. and when i started the car i got white smoke out of the tail pipes for about 2-3 min after.
well the car ran fine and after a trip around 10-15 blocks theres no smoke and i never got any check engine light. so i'm not shure what could be wrong or if any thing is. well if anyone has any idea's let me know.

The only issue was they were loose. If you have not invested in a good torque wrench nows a good time to do so. I had the same issue with my car until I did. I even blew a spark plug out under boost which caused alot of issues. I torque mine to 14 foot pounds. -Shane

well there not loose now the old one's might have been. the only other thing i can think of is the valve covers might have a tiny leak. but i do know. what problems like that have you heard of.

go with NGK v-powers. those are good. i had the double platinums in my fox and it ran like crap, so i put regular old copper autolites in there and it ran fine.

Always liked the NGK6 and was told to stay away from the NGK7s as the tip comming out of the plug itself was too thin.-Shane

I have heard so many different opinions on what plugs to run. All I know is that it is over 130.00 for the plugs I need for my car just to replace the stock plugs. They make a Motorcraft zeroº plug which is recommended for my particular mods, from what I'm told.

Jim you are right bout the Zeros I am outting them in mine this wek to run a bigger shot of NOS.
As for the plugs I used motercraft, bosh and any other plug out there trying to get my fox to run right. Seemed every two weeks I was fouling them out. I was told by my buddy (owns mustang shop) run NGK. I put them in and never had another problem out of the fox. I highly recomend them..... best plug I ever ran. They where first made for wo stroke moter cycles, and off road vehicles do to them mixing gas ect so they are made well

right now i actually have autolite copper ones in my car and it runs good too. not much of an ignition system to have to run a pricy plug
